This week's guest is something of an online phenomenon. Her blog Confessions of an Idiosyncratic Mind is about as close to THE bee's knees as anything online in the crime world can come to be, without being a podcast, of course. ;-)
But Sarah Weinman is not only a great blogger, reviewer, and collector of all things crime publishing, she's also a superb crime writer. This story, "Blooming," comes from the anthology Hell of a Woman like many of the other stories we've featured. Special thanks again to David Thompson at Busted Flush Press for publishing it and to Megan Abbott for editing.

This week's story is guest read by Mae Breakall of Junkie Mae's Chop Shop, a fan-fiction podcast for the work of Scott Sigler. Thanks to Mae for reading and her husband Scott for production.
Also, there's a new home for online crime fiction in text: A Twist of Noir. Edited by Chris Grant, Twist of Noir brings you crime flash-fiction stories in the range of 1,000 to 3,000 words. You can submit your work by sending it to Chris in the body of an email here. You got flash crime or noir? Send it Chris's way! A Twist of Noir publishes daily!
We're nearing in on episode 20, which will mark the completion of Season One of the WAV. Look for Aldo and I to be taking a break for Thanksgiving and the beginning of December. More on that soon.
If you've liked this story, Christa Faust's "Cut Man" and Cornelia Read's "Hungy Enough" then support these writers and Busted Flush Press by buying A Hell of a Woman: An Anthology of Female Noir here.

Blooming
Another great story on Crimewav, and Mae did a great job reading it.
hmmm...
I did not find the reading great. I haven't finished this story because the narration is so flat and emotionless.
Nice Job!
First visit here. Enjoyed the episode very much. Mae did a wonderful job!
Few days ago I read that blog
Few days ago I read that blog and woo.. that was really mind blowing. I became a true fan of her writing and regularly look for her writing.
