This is the first comments for the site. Who loves CrimeWAV?
I do.
It was really odd: I've been a fan a Pseudopod (a horror fiction podcast site) for quite a while. And then the other day, after watching my friend play the Scarface videogame, I said to myself: "I wonder if there's a crime fiction podcast site..."
One Google search later and, lo and behold, here it was. And only recently initiated as well. I'm glad it's here.
As for putting disclaimers/ratings at the top of each show? Nah. Don't. Put up a static disclaimer on the main page that the stories contained herein are written for adult audiences, and may contain explicit content.
Anyone coming in thinking that stories of crime are going to be pretty is already *living* in a fiction.
Thanks!

You Rock Bro... Keep up your Awesomeness!!! www.truckerrich.com
Very disappointed in your skills as an editor. I wish I could get that imagery out of my head as easily as the feed off my ipod. I'll wait for the next Jack Novel.
Firstly I love your stuff! Jack is the man and I am a palms DADDY! BUT what the hell was that my man? I know it wasn't your story but didn't see what it had 2 do with crime..... ??? I will listen to anything you say is good because you are the man, but please don't do that to me again! I feel debauched by it! I am open minded but that was just wrong! Don't think I can risk the rest......... Please tell me every story is not that BAD!
That was terrible! Gonna stop listening! Sorry my man... Please gimme something you wrote! Still stickin with your stuff Seth!
Dude, Must Bite got in my head like Tattoed People. It was rockin seriously. Personally, I like to be shocked out of my comfort zone. Especially at my boring job.
I should totally email the author and ask, do you think that the husband's intention was to leave her with the zoo animals from the start or was there ever any real love there?
I am LOVIN Crimewav
Has the author of Cut Man ever considered making a full novel out of her story?
Sounds like the main character has an interesting backstory and the "Fighter" world sounds almost cyberpunk without the tech.
I think I would dig on a full novel of that story.
I loved Cut Man -- classic noir setting, ingenious murder plot, downbeat ending.
Great story.
Keep it up!
I don't know about you, but I'd like to see some CrimeWav shirts in the near future. I would wear one, what about you?
But don't let me work it. ;)
If anyone is interested, I've created a fan group on Facebook: "Crimewav.com Listeners." It's an open membership group, in case anyone wants to join and help spread the crimewave.

Thanks for starting that! I'm heading over to subscribe now!
Seth
Thanks for the audio files. Nothing better when ones eyes are too tired to stay open anymore. Sweet dreams for a dirt nap.
I have loved them all - in one way or another. Don't change it. You can't please all the people - so why try? Keep that diversity coming :)
Having said that, I really like how you now do the your "whats new" and info at the end of the podcast. Rockin'!!
The CrimeWav is great but I feel that you may be running low on quality stories. There are only so many ways to imagine, and write, a GOOD story.
After reading the Dave Courtney autobiography, I feel that you could get 4 or 5 really good stories from the man himself. All true and full of criminals doing criminal acts.
I'm a fan and I've just reviewed the cast at the Examiner.com, a national online newspaper.
Here's a link to the review: http://www.examiner.com/x-2597-Podcast-Examiner~y2009m2d1-Seth-Harwoods-...

Okay - I'm slightly biased but finding another Drupal site in the Crime world has kinda made me smile, but I love what you've done with this site and will be following the podcast closely. Thanks Seth.
I'd not been into the crime genre that much in the past but for the most part I've enjoyed all the crimewav podcasts. Some more than others.
Well, as I posted in a different thread, I think that I enjoyed Cranked the most. I live in a rural area of Texas and can just see those characters. I guess they all left their mensa cards home that day.
Rhonda Noir gave me the greatest sense of how real crime can go awry, a random event and everything changes. Well told.
In a way Amphetamine Logic also has a "real" sense to it.
Cut man didn't do too much for me - yes it had irony at the end but it wasn't enough to make up for all the pain up to that point.
Adrenaline had a lot of pain but that's what made the story. It had a lot of drama. Good Story.
Operation Brisket was enjoyable as well.
Emarsh, which ones you like best?
Glad to hear you're into the Crime now!
I enjoyed all of the story, and I keep listen to several of them, but "Killing O'Malley" (Reed Farrel Coleman) is still my favorite story and voice so far, so I'm looking forward to hearing the CrimeWav reading of "Tower." I'll buy the book, too. I bought "Brooklyn Noir" with "Killing O'Malley" in it (after hearing "Killing O'Malley" on CrimeWav) and enjoyed every one of the short stories.
Welcome back, Seth! Looking forward to more great episodes of CrimeWav.

I do too.
